SEOUL, May 29 (Yonhap) -- The Danish film "Riders of Justice" offers a fresh type of inspiration by mixing strong action with black comedy and drama featuring revenge.

When Marcus (Mars Mickelsen), a soldier who returned from the battlefied, hears the sudden death of his wife from a train accident, and a trio of smart but unusual characters approaches him.

Otto (Nikolai Ricos), a mathematician who was on the same train with his wife, discovers clues that the accident was a planned crime and digs into it. His colleague Lennert (Lars Brygmann) can hack any site, and their friend Emmenthaler (Nicolas Bro) is a data analyst who finds people with face recognition.

Marcus, who is now convinced that his wife was victimized by a planned crime, decides to take revenge and starts living in a house where he lives with his daughter, enduring the actions of the three geeks who lost their sense of reality.

The movie "Riders of Justice" is quite different from the action movies that Mads Mikkelsen has shown.

Mikkelsen exudes charisma, in the dramas “Hannibal,” “Dr. Strange,” and “007 Casino Royale,” but his angry seriousness turns around with the eccentric trio, creating a strange tension but bizarre fun.

Marcus shows heavy and strong action like an incumbent soldier. The three geeks are afraid of Marcus, who doesn't hesitate to kill, but push and pull the tension of the play by repeating words and actions that defy Marcus’s feelings.

The theories and numbers presented by the three geeks give credibility as if they were revealing the hidden truth in reality. The three people, who only think logically regardless of the situation or the other person, remind them of the genius yet socially awkward characters on the sitcom "Big Bang Theory."

On top of that, the touching points of the wounded characters caring for each other are can not be left unmentioned. The feisty and nervous characters actually have their own wounds and past trauma.

Otto, who is always shunned even though he has reasonable logic, Renard, who seems to have been abused, and Marcus, who can’t easily open his heart to his daughter, sit around a large table and eat together.

From ruthless action to unexpected twists and turns, there is no time to be bored with all the fun and emotion given by the unusual characters.

“Riders of Justice” will be released on June 2nd. The film is available for viewers 15 or older.
