Trump-Iran negotiation
Trump says U.S. 'not satisfied' while Iran is 'very much intent' on making a deal

WASHINGTON, May 27 (Yonhap) -- U.S. President Donald Trump said Wednesday that his administration is "not satisfied" although Iran is "very much intent" on reaching a deal with the United States to end hostilities.
Trump made the remarks during a Cabinet meeting at the White House, as Washington and Tehran are working to narrow their differences on a peace framework that reports say would extend their ceasefire, reopen the Strait of Hormuz and continue negotiations on Iran's nuclear program.
"Iran is very much intent. They want very much to make a deal. So far, they haven't gotten there," he said. "We are not satisfied with it, but we will be. We will be ... either that or will have to just finish the job."
The president reiterated that Iran is in negotiations from a weak position.
"As I've said 1,000 times, their navy is gone. Their air force is gone. Everything's gone, and they are negotiating on fumes," he said. "We will see what happens. Maybe, we have to go back and finish it. Maybe, we don't."
