SEOUL, Dec. 11 (Yonhap) — K-pop boy group Seventeen, whom MTV selected on Dec. 6 as an artist for December in its PUSH global campaign, performed “Rock with You” and “Crush” during the artist introduction section on MTV, according to Pledis Entertainment on Saturday.
"MTV Push" chooses an artist every month and provides in-depth interviews, performances, music video, as well as personalized content to the fans. Seventeen was the first K-pop act to be selected as the artist of the month.
In an interview, member Woozi said, “‘Rock With You’ is a song that accurately explains the direction our group wants to go," adding, "I made the song with that thought in mind.”
"The band and guitar sounds were very attractive, and I felt that energy reflected Seventeen very well,” Mingyu added.
"Thanks to CARAT, I was able to grow this much and I am truly grateful," Seventeen said, mentioning their fan name Carat. “We hope we can deliver greater energy and support our fans through this stage."
“Attacca” became the fifth million-seller for the group, following "Your Choice," 2020 albums "Heng:garae" and "Semicolon" and its 2019 album "An Ode." The album also entered Billboard's main albums chart for two consecutive weeks.
