SEOUL, Oct. 16 (Yonhap) -- Lisa of K-pop girl group BLACKPINK, who recently released her first solo album "Lalisa," will participate in DJ Snake's new single.

"Lisa has participated in DJ Snake's new single titled 'SG,' which will be released on Oct. 22," Lisa's agency YG Entertainment said Saturday.. DJ Snake also released related videos through his official social media.

DJ Snake, a French producer and artist who has presented a variety of music, including trap beat, Moombahton, and Electro house genres, previously won the "Top Dance/Electronic Song" award at the 2015 Billboard Music Awards.

DJ Snake, who is recognized for his popularity and musicality, has also watched BLACKPINK's Los Angeles (LA) concert in person in 2019, according to YG Entertainment.

"Lisa has worked with a number of pop stars such as Dua Lipa, Lady Gaga, Selena Gomez, and Cardi B, however this is the first time she has worked with an foreign artist alone," YG Entertainment said.

The 24-year-old from Thailand is also gaining huge popularity as a solo artist.

A total of 730,000 copies of Lisa's solo physical album, which was named after her real name Lalisa Manobal, were sold in the first week, setting the highest record amongst K-pop female singers.

In particular, the title track "Lalisa" topped the iTunes Top Song Chart in 72 countries and regions around the world, and the music video was also listed in the Guinness World Records as the most views on YouTube in the first 24 hours of its release.

"Money," another hip-hop track listed on the album, is also steadily gaining popularity.

"Money" landed at No. 59 on the British Official Singles Chart Top 100 as of Oct. 15, according to the latest weekly chart compiled by the Official Charts Company.

The song rose 22 notches from the previous week's No. 81 on the chart.

While "Money" attracted less attention than the title track "Lalisa," the dynamic rhythm and melody steadily drew fans' attention and related videos are found to have been circulating around video platform TikTok.
