SEOUL, Mar. 30 (Yonhap) – K-pop girl group Red Velvet’s Seul-gi(Kang Seul-gi) has tested positive for COVID-19.

The agency SM Entertainment said on Wednesday, “Seul-gi tested positive for the coronavirus today.”

The singer has completed the second vaccine shots.

The agency explained, “Seul-gi currently does not show any special symptoms other than mild cold, and halted all schedules while being in quarantine in accordance with the guidelines of healthcare authorities.”

It is the fourth confirmed case among Red Velvet members.

Earlier, members Irene(Bae Joo-hyun), Joy(Park Soo-young), and Yeri(Kim Ye-rim) have been treated after testing positive for COVID-19 ahead of the release of the mini album “The ReVe Festival 2022 - Feel My Rhythm.”

The agency mentioned, “Member Wendy(Son Seung-wan) tested negative from the self-test kit but will additionally receive PCR test.”

Seul-gi's confirmation caused some disruptions in the team's schedule.

The agency announced, “The schedules for music programs, including “M Countdown” on Mar. 31 and “Music Bank” on Apr. 1, will be cancelled,” adding, “We will try our best for her treatments and speedy recovery, considering the health of the artist as the top priority.”
