SEOUL, May 1 (Yonhap) -- Maria Grazia Chuiri, the creative director (CD) of the French luxury brand Dior, has become a hot topic at the Korean fashion show as she was seen in a so-called “gwajam (jumper that is usually worn by members of the same major South Korean universities)” college jumper.

According to the industry and university officials on the 1st, creative director Chuiri came out wearing a green Ehwa Womans University gwajam in Seoul on the afternoon of April 30, the day before the “2022 Fall Women’s Collection Fashion Show” held at Ehwa Womans University.

Director Chuiri was seen wearing a green Ehwa Womans University jumper with an “E” on the front and “'EWHA W. UNIV” on the back.

The Dior Fashion Show was held in Korea for the first time since the Asia Pacific Fashion Show which was held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Dior at the Seoul Olympic Park in 2007. As it was the first time to hold a fashion show on a university campus in South Korea, it drew attention even before the event.

Ahead of the show, Pietro Beccari, chairman and CEO of Christian Dior, visited South Korea and met with officials of the industry including the representatives of the department store.
