SEOUL, Jan. 3 (Yonhap) -- Some fans are unhappy with HYBE's marketing strategies using the K-pop juggernaut BTS.

HYBE recently announced through the fan community Weverse Shop that it will sell pajama sets and pillows made by BTS member Jin for 119,000 won (about 100 dollars) and 69,000 won, respectively.

In response, some fans pointed out through social media that the pajamas were too expensive considering it was produced from cotton and not high-quality materials.

Jin shared his negative response to the merchandise's price, "I asked them to use high-quality materials, but what is up with the price..? I was surprised as well," through the fan community Weverse.

HYBE recently declared its entry into various businesses other than music, such as Korean textbooks, character products, webtoons, web novels, and even animations.

However, some fans are criticizing HYBE for leaving music and being too immersed in other sectors.

Recently, the webtoon content "Super Casting: BTS," which is being posted on Naver Webtoon, received low ratings along with harsh criticism from fans for its poor content.
