SEOUL, Feb. 4(Yonhap) – S. Korean entertainer Jun Hyun-moo has tested positive for COVID-19 from a self-test kit, putting the entertainment industry on alert.
Jun’s agency SM C&C said on Feb. 4, “Jun tested positive for the coronavirus from a self-test kit and is currently waiting for the result of PCR test that he received.”
MBC entertainment show “Point of Omniscient Interfere,” where Jun performs as a host, put Seo Jang-hoon as a temporary MC for the shooting scheduled on Friday.
It was confirmed that Yang Se-hyung, who appears in the same program, previously tested for COVID-19 and was released from quarantine on Friday.
Besides “Point of Omniscient Interfere,” Jun appears in 6 programs, including MBC “I Live Alone,” MBN “National team if national team(translated), tvN “Free 19,” and JTBC “Talk Pa One 25 o’clock,” so it is expected to have a significant impact if he tests positive for the coronavirus.
The broadcasting companies are on alert as the broadcasting schedules of related programs will inevitably be disrupted if the staffs and cast members need to receive PCR tests.
