SEOUL, March 25 (Yonhap) -- Korean-American actor Jin Ha, who appeared in the Apple TV+ original series “Pachinko,” faces controversy for illegal filming.
The actor got into a controversy when a post in an online community claimed that Jin Ha illegally took 90 photos of Korean middle-aged women and posted them on his social media in the past.
The photos that were posted from July 2010 to early September 2011, showed Korean middle-aged women, mostly wearing flower patterns, on the subway, bus station, and streets.
Jinha wrote on his social media, “Old women in Korea really like wearing flower patterns,” adding, “I decided to showcase the photo series ‘Flowers In Bloom’ to show Korea’s fascinating fashion trend.”
Some posts said, "I almost got caught, but it was worth the risk," and "These two lovely women are the only voluntary models I have met," which can be assumed that the photos took place illegally.
Jin Ha also judged the appearance of the women in the photos and made sexual harassment comments.
On this matter, Apple TV+ "Pachinko" starring Jin-ha said, "We are checking the related information."
