SEOUL, Oct. 18 (Yonhap) –- Film “Highway Family” (literal title) starring actress Ra Mi-ran and actor Jung Il-woo has recently kicked off filming, according the producer “Film Company Seollem” (translated), Monday.

The film under production shows a family living at a highway rest area like they were camping and a married couple bumping into them. The two at last make a new family together.

Ra and Bek Hyun-jin will each play an owner of a second-hand furniture store who misses her son and her assisting husband who knows well of his wife’s pain more than anyone.

Jung and actress Kim Seul-ki will be a young couple setting out on a trip bearing child and without a destiny in mind. This is the actor’s first father-role and he will play a breadwinner who cherishes his family so much.

Director Lee Sang-moon, who assisted in producing films “Young Adult Matters” and “The Bacchus Lady,” will be the director and screenwriter.

The producers are planning to release the film in 2022.
