SEOUL, Oct. 20 (Yonhap) -- Singer CL of former 2NE1 has come to her feet to meet the fans with her 1st regular solo album filled with her voice.

The artist released her regular album “ALPHA” at 1 p.m. Wednesday, according to her agency Label Very Cherry.

It has been 1 year since she decided to postpone the release in order to raise the degree of the production’s completion.

The album shows the always-confident artist CL who radiated and radiates in every moment as a leader of a girl band and as a solo artist as well.

While her 2019 project album “In the Name of Love” expressed individual Lee Chae-lin’s personal feelings and thoughts, the recent album exerts CL as a character and an icon through music.

The artist filed the album solely with her voice without any featuring and took part in the production and lyrics for every track. The album is composed of 11 tracks including the pre-released singles “SPICY” and “Lover Like Me.”

“SPICY” attracted interest as it was narrated by an American veteran actor John Malkovich. While “SPICY” well-appeals CL the rapper, “Lover Like Me” showed the artist’s capacity as a powerful vocalist.

“Through collaboration with artists of various colors and as leaders of new trends, a global music that literally has no boundaries has been born. The album has sketched a new blueprint about the symbolic icon, CL,” introduced her agency.

After releasing the album on music sites all over the world, the artist will kick into schedules starting from the 22nd.
