SEOUL, July 24 (Yonhap) -- Rookie boy group 'DIGNITY' has taken its first step with the debut mini-album "Digmotion."
On the 24th, DIGNITY held a showcase at Ilchi Art Hall in Gangnam, Seoul, to celebrate the release of their first mini-album. They expressed confidence, stating, "Our strong teamwork allows us to deliver powerful songs and performances, which is DIGNITY's unique strength."
DIGNITY, which pre-debuted in 2022, consists of five members: Luo, Minseok, Luke, On, and Hyeongjin. During their pre-debut period last year, they appeared as 'Team 1 o'clock' on JTBC's idol survival program 'Peak Time,' leaving a strong impression on the public. After a period of team reorganization, they achieved their dream of officially debuting after 1 year and 10 months.
Reflecting on their long-awaited debut, the group said, "It still feels like a dream. It doesn't feel real yet." Minseok mentioned, "The preparation period was long because of the long hiatus. It’s not the end, but a new beginning, and I’m proud and happy about our debut."
The youngest member, Luke, shared, "I think we will realize things as we go on with our activities and will be able to spend happy days every day." On added, "It didn't feel real until the album and music video were released at 12 o'clock today. Now it finally feels real."
Luo, who previously debuted with the group 'MASC,' expressed a special sense of determination about re-debuting. He said, "I left my previous team without achieving the desired results. Although the hiatus was long, I worked hard to make up for my shortcomings and will do my best to ensure that no bad things happen again with this team."
