Justin Bieber to appear on Hybe's year-end '2022 Weverse Con [New Era]' concert

SEOUL, Dec. 7 (Yonhap) -- Hybe, the corporation behind K-pop sensation BTS, announced Tuesday that it will hold a year-end concert, titled "2022 Weverse Con [New Era]," on Dec. 31 at KINTEX Exhibition Hall in Goyang, just northwest of Seoul.

"Weverse Con is a global music festival where artists and fans can share the moment of starting a new year," Hybe said.

"We plan to develop this music festival into a global event with various and Weverse, a global fan community platform where artists and fans communicate around the world," Hybe added.

The music event will be held both online and offline.

Famous artists such as Bumzu, DVWN, Enhypen, fromis_9, Lee Hyun, Seventeen, and Tomorrow x Together will perform on stage. In particular, world renown pop star Justin Bieber, managed by SB Projects under Hybe America, will also meet Korean fans online.

However, Hybe's representative superband BTS, who recently took an extended period of rest, will not appear at this concert.

"This concert will provide five multi-stages and special stages with live bands. Artists will also be able to crossover between music and talking to fans," Hybe said. "Following last year, a special tribute stage will also be prepared."
