SEOUL, Sept.27 (Yonhap) -- "We had so much to show. It was hard to believe that 'PRIMEKINGZ' was the first crew to be eliminated. Although it was a hard moment we don't want to recall, we will show new 'PRIMEKINGZ' using this failure as a stepping stone."

Krump dance team PRIMEKINGZ, who had hard time competing at MNet's dance contest program "Street Man Fighter" (hereafter "SMF"), said in a video interview on Tuesday, "We sincerely thank everyone who comforted and supported us."

The interview was attended by the leader Trix, Nux, as well as Door, Counter, and Kyoyoung Jr.

Trix said, "I participated 'SMF' knowing that it's a show and idols were the judges, so I have no complaints about result," adding, "I let team members take a rest and have time to re charge after we were eliminated to get it together."

PRIMEKINGZ was eliminated after a fierce battle with the hip-hop crew Bank to Brothers in the last episode aired on Sept. 20.

Trix said, "We have no regrets because our team had the best narrative of all the dance crews."

"We entered the fight zone as the strongest team, but we hit the bottom during the rank mission and K-pop choreography copy mission. After that, we analyzed our failures and found our own styles, receiving highest score in the global K-dance mission and having legendary battle with Bank to Bros."

Even after leaving the show, the crew continues their activities amid the enthusiastic support and interest from the public.

PRIMEKINGZ's Mega Crew dance video, produced by recruiting 20 dancers on its own, recorded 1 million views in just two days after its release.

Nux, who first heard the song in New Zealand and thought about the concept and performance for three years alone said, "New Zealand folk dance 'Haka' is a dance that expresses the dancer's own emotions and energy, and I thought it would go well with Krump."

He also said, "Performance that effuse intense energy is something that only PRIMEKINGZ can do and do best."

PRIMEKINGZ is a top krump dance team in Korea who has achieved numerous awards in krump's mainland such as U.S and Europe. Leader Trix is the first Asian to win the world's largest krump dance battle in 2018.

To the question if there were any pressure of being evaluated only by the performance on the stage, Trix said, "I didn't feel any pressure when I appeared on the show," adding, "I decided to be on the show to learn more, and I did learn a lot and had time to look back on myself."

Nux said, "More than anything, I wanted to show the charm of Krump," adding, "I am happy that public now recognizes that Krump is not a dance that dances like gorilla, and Krump dancers and full of energy and sincerity.
