＂′Gumiho′′s actor Kim Do-wan ＂In reality, I totally pour my heart into love＂

SEOUL, July 22 (Yonhap) -- "I actually do have no fear for love like Jae-jin. When I fall in for someone, I'm totally into that person. (chuckles)."

On the 22nd, we had an online interview with actor Kim Do-wan (26) about his taking part as Do Jae-jin, a romanticist who pours his heart for the beloved one in a recently finished tvN series "My Roommate is a Gumiho" (Gumiho).

In the story, he happily starts dating Yang Hye-sun (actress Kang Han-na), a gumiho constantly used up and dumped by her ex-lovers for her devotional love.

Do-wan explained that "Jae-jin's biggest charming point is that once he is in love, he feels strong responsibility and does his best for the lover" and that he "attempted to express the character's pureness as much as possible."

Also, "from the moment I took the script, I got the impression that Hyesun-Jaejin were just meant to be together" and "the two make an ordinary but a very rare couple which was the reason they were loved by many watchers," said the actor.

About the actress Han-na whom he co-worked with as a couple, "She has many similar aspects with Hye-sun being random and smart" also "thanks to her cheerful energy, we could happily shoot the drama under bright atmosphere", he said. Do-wan added compliments for the other co-actors saying "they were truly the best partners."

This was his first romantic-comedy genre and rated himself saying "It can be embarrassing to assume that this is the right genre for me" and that "I want give me a thumbs up for challenging new ways of expressing emotions and for making various attempts."

For the most memorable scene, he chose the time when after falling over on his crutches, Jae-jin confessing his love to Hye-jin in episode 13.

"In my opinion, this was the warmest scene for Jae-jin and Hye-jin. My favorite line is shouting "I like you". It seems funny in some point, but for Jae-jin, I think that really was his best expression of his emotions. (chuckles)."

Kim Do-wan is in the verge of becoming a rising star, attracting more attention for appearing in "Gumiho" after having strongly impressed the public with the character

Seo Tae-Hwa from "She Know Everything" and Kim Yong-san from "Start-up".

About the comments such as 'an eye catching actor these days', 'an actor with a bright prospect', the actor himself said, "It makes me keep striving so not to shame the people who gave me those nice comments" and "it would be lie if I said it doesn't pressure me, but I think this affects me in a positive way."

"I want to be an actor that guarantees the quality of whatever genre or character I take and eventually can be 'Kim Do-wan, the genre itself' to the public", said the actor, revealing his ambition of trying various works regardless of genre such as historical, action, noir and romantic comedy.

"My next activity is "I Haven't Done My Best Yet", which will my schedule for the next half of the year. I will be a whole new and opposite character from Jae-jin, so please don't take your eye off me."
