SEOUL, June 13 (Yonhap) – “The fact that I’m coming out on the big screen was so amazing and nice. I want to hear people saying that they are looking forward to the sequel the most.”

Shin Sia(24), an actress who came through a competition of 1,408 to 1 and took the lead role in the movie "The Witch: Part 2. The Other One,” had an interview with Yonhap News Agency at a cafe in Palpan-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on Monday.

"The Witch 2" is about a girl(Shin Sia), who accidentally went out of the secret laboratory following a prequel that depicts the story of Koo Ja-yoon(Kim Da-mi), who escaped the secret laboratory and lived with ordinary people, returning back to the place.

Shin Sia explained the key point, saying, "In season 2, the worldview has expanded a lot, so there are more diverse characters and spectacular points to capture since outdoor action scenes have increased as well.”

She also mentioned, "Because the girl is superhuman and has absolute power like Ja-yoon, she is not easily scared or caught up with others," adding, "As Ja-yoon is very socialized and used to communicating with friends and family, the girl seems to be awkward since she has been staying in a secret laboratory."

The actress said that she felt she looked similar to the girl in terms of adapting to her ordinary life with the help of Kyung-hee(Park Eun-bin) and Dae-gil(Sung Yoo-bin) who met by chance.

"Since it was my first time filming, I felt awkward and wasn’t familiar with anything like the girl who faced the world for the first time. Therefore, I think the relationship between the girl, Kyung-hee, and Dae-gil was similar to the relationship between Eun-bin and Yoo-bin and me on the field. Eun-bin took care of me and gave me a lot of advice. Yoo-bin also played jokes on me from the beginning and helped me relax. It was so nice."

Shin Sia, who said she was a huge fan of the prequel, stated, "I think I'm a 'successful fan,’” adding, "I'm grateful just to be mentioned along with Kim Da-mi, the main lead of the first movie."
