SEOUL, Mar. 31 (Yonhap) – S. Korean bands Daybreak and LUCY will present songs to each other and work on a special project, adding their own colors to the song.
According to Happy Robot Records and Mystic Story, the agencies of the two bands, Daybreak and LUCY will release the first version of the single "The Answer" through each of their music platform on Mar. 31 at 6 p.m.
Daybreak's song, which will be released on Thursday, will depict "love of the day," while LUCY’s song will portray “love of the night.”
The album led by the two groups that lead Korean band music, is a collaborative project where the artists present songs to each other and arrange them in their own style of music.
“The Anwer,” sung by the colleagues in the band industry, depicts the story of a couple.
A sketch song, composed by LUCY’s Jo Won-sang and Yoon Jong-shin, was given to Daybreak, while vocalist Lee Won-seok wrote and arranged the song, adding bright and cheerful moods to the group.
The agency said, "The song contains the story of a couple who had a fight the previous day and get together as soon as they see each other in spring," adding, "The main point is to find the sounds of LUCY that blend into the group Daybreak.”
Daybreak, which released its first full album in 2007, is considered a leading Korean band in the domestic scene, dropping hit songs, such as "Good," "Bumper Car," "Popcorn," and “Flower Road.”
The band is currently performing as a 4-member group, including vocalist Lee Won-seok, Kim Sun-il(bass), Kim Jang-won(keyboard), and Jeong Yoo-jong(guitar).
LUCY is a 4-member band consisting of Shin Ye-chan(violin), Choi Sang-yeop(vocal, guitar), Jo Won-sang(producing, bass), and Shin Gwang-il(vocal, drum), who made themselves known by winning the second place in the JTBC’s band competition program “Super Band.”
