SEOUL, May 25 (Yonhap) -- Actor Yoon Kye-sang, who has played deep roles in genres, will return to romance after a long time.

At an online press conference of Disney Plus's original series “Kiss Sixth Sense" on Wednesday, Yoon introduced the drama by saying, “South Korea has fantasy romance but Disney Plus created an in-depth work."

Yoon explained, “There was a lot of blood on set while I filmed a lot of genres, so I got darker,” adding, “The set of ‘Kiss Sixth Sense’ was brighter and the people had energy. Through this, I was able to enjoy working and capture the character well.”

The actor emphasized, “There are a lot of dark dramas these days, but this series contains good energy,” adding, “Viewers can watch and enjoy the series without much thinking.”

“Kiss Six Sense,” based on the web novel of the same title, depicts the romance between Hong Ye-sul (Seo Ji-hye) who sees flashes of the future when she kisses someone, and Cha Min-hu (Yoon Kye-sang), who has highly developed five senses. In addition, a genius film director Lee Pil-yo (Kim Ji-seok) will lead the love triangle of the drama.

Director Nam Ki-hoon, who produced the drama said, “A story of super-sense, super-power, and the past,” adding, “There are many things to see and the characters are three-dimensional. Not only the future but also the past plays an important element.”

The director added, “The drama’s genre is a romantic comedy but as the plot progresses, there are thriller parts.”

The production of the drama involved hard work since the series depicts a mix of the past, present, and future and contains fantasy elements that need to be processed by computer graphics.

Director Nam said, “To convince the plot that Ye-sul can see the future when she touches the body of others through her lips, there had to be a visual presentation,” adding, “We used computer graphics with a dreamy atmosphere that twist the space and time.”

The director explained, “In the case of past scenes, we set the camera angle to bring the feelings of nostalgia,” adding, “We’re excited and looking forward because it seems like a material that can be new in the global market.”

Nam also hinted that the love triangle will be interesting since the colors of characters Yoon, Seo, and Kim are distinct.

Yoon explained, “Cha has five senses that are ten times more highly developed than regular people. He is called a god in the advertising industry,” adding, “However, he can be cold to people because he is sensitive.”

Seo said, “Hong Ye-sul is a career woman who does her best at her job but is irresistible in front of Cha,” adding, “After she sees an unbelievable future after a kiss with Cha, she panics.”

“Kiss Sixth Sense” is a 12-part series that will release 2 episodes every Wednesday. The first and second episodes will be revealed on the 25th at 4 p.m.
