SUWON, Feb. 13(Yonhap) – The Gyeonggi Art Center announced on Feb. 13 that the New York Philharmonic String Quartet will hold a concert in Korea at the center's small theater on the Feb. 21.

It is a 4-member chamber orchestra, led by the concert master Frank Huang, which was formed to mark the 175th anniversary of the founding of the New York Philharmonic.

Under the theme of “Treatment of Anxiety and Confusion caused by COVID-19,” the concert consists of programs, such as Mozart's String Quartet No. 19 and Beethoven's String Quartet No. 11.

The music performed in this concert will create an anxious mood in the beginning, but will end in a bright and powerful atmosphere to deliver pleasant energy to the audience living in uncertain times.

The staff from the center said, "Through the concert held at a small theater, you will be able to enjoy the attraction of chamber orchestra in a small space,” adding, “As classical music concerts performed by players from overseas have been rare due to the COVID-19, this concert is expected to satisfy many people."
