Over 1000 people from foreign missions to watch BTS perform in Busan

SEOUL October 14 (Yonhap) -- Numerous foreign ambassadors stationed in Korea will be attending the BTS’ concert in Busan in hope to host 2030 Busan World Expo on October 15.


Including diplomatic envoys and important personals from foreign nations, collectively around 1000 people will be attending K-pop superstar BTS’ concert in Busan.

Busan City government addressed on 14 that they have provided 2000 of the invitational tickets to Korean diplomatic missions in foreign nations and foreign embassy in South Korea. More than half of those invited addressed their interest in participating at the concert happening in Asiad Main Stadium in Busan.

Family members of the ambassadors from 40 different nations and their employees addressed their intention of attending the concert, therefore it will be beneficial for the hosting of Busan World Expo in 2030.

Official of the Busan City Government stated “Due to security reasons, it is hard for us to disclose the information regarding the ambassador including the nation, however it is safe to assume most of the ambassadors from important nations will be at the scene of the concert.”

From abroad, special advisor of Mexico’s minister of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and numbers of diplomatic mission from Czech Republic will be visiting Busan in order to participate at the upcoming BTS concert.

Although the Busan City Government was originally planning on inviting over 3500 people including the family members of important figures from foreign nations, however, after taking into the consideration the location of 170 different nations within the Bureau International Des Expositions, they have resized the number of invitation down to 2000.
