SBS drama series 'The First Responders' to kick off on Nov 12

SEOUL November 10 (Yonhap) -- South Korean drama “The First responders” from South Korean broadcasting provider SBS which will air every Friday and Saturday about firefighters and police officers who join forces to sold problems will soon premiere.

“The First Responder” will showcase police officers who apprehend criminals and firefighters who join forces to solve problems. Writer Min Ji-eun who wrote the South Korean well made crime solving drama “Partners for Justice” wrote the script for “The First Responder.”

“This series will be showcasing realistic scenes of crimes with clear and interesting ways of overcoming and solving the problems with impressive atmosphere of crime action genre of dramas.” addressed chief producer Park Young-soo throughout the online press conference held on Thursday.

Moreover, the producer stated “This series deal with those of first responders, who work very hard to solve what seems to be unsolvable problems through extensive research and joint effort,” adding “I hope you guys are all excited to see how the crime solving police unit will join forces with firefighters who fight to save lives from the fire.”

Actor Kim Rae-won will act as Jin Ho-gae a police detective and Son Ho jun will act out the character Bong Do-jin, a fire fighter throughout the series.

“Jin Ho-gae is a talented inspector who has a very keen instinct, and uses his instinct to solve the crime. Also he is a protagonist who has sustained 100 percent apprehension rate.” Kim Rae-won described his character Jin Ho-gae during the press conference.

Whereas, Son Ho-jun addressed “Bong Ho-jin is a very dedicated Firefighter, who has a nickname of ‘Bulldozer’ which perfectly describes his personality of pushing through if is the right thing to do.”

Actress Gong Seung-yeon will act out Song Seol, the paramedic who transfers wounded people.

“Despite of her gentle first impression, Song Seol is a very strong minded person with amazing ability to relate to one another.” adding “She does not stop at transporting penitents to the hospital but she takes a step further and cares for his or her well being after they get out of the hospital.” addressed Gong Seung-yeon during the press conference.

Actors and actresses felt gratitude towards police officers and firefighters who are in their uniforms helping people out every day while participating in the production of the series.

“Firefighters have this mentality of storming in to the fire first to save the lives of people and leave the parameter the last, this touched my heart.” stated actor Son Ho-jun during the online press conference.

Chief producer Park Young-soo addressed “Police officers and firefighters consider saving lives to be the first priority.” adding “Through this drama I feel like we will be able to show the true meaning behind life in general.”

First episode of “The First Responders” will premiere on November 12 at 10 p.m.
