SEOUL, July 29 (Yonhap) -- Bang Si-hyuk, the chairman of HYBE, has acquired a luxury mansion in Los Angeles valued at hundreds of billions of won through his personal real estate corporation.

According to the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system on the 29th, Chairman Bang reported that he owns a company called 'Bel Air Stradella, LLC' through the HYBE conglomerate's status disclosure. This company, based in the U.S., operates in the real estate industry, and Bang holds 100% ownership of it.

HYBE explained, "This disclosure was required due to the designation of HYBE as a large enterprise group, which necessitated the disclosure of this corporation. It was a simple clerical omission that has now been corrected."

The U.S. real estate media outlet Dirt reported last year that Bang purchased the luxury mansion located on Stradella Road in the affluent Bel Air neighborhood of Los Angeles for $26.4 million (approximately 36.5 billion won). It is understood that Bang acquired the mansion under the name of his real estate corporation, 'Bel Air Stradella,' which is also the name of the location where the mansion is situated.

Bang is said to have purchased this mansion to facilitate music production and expand his local music network.
