SEOUL, Jan. 4 (Yonhap) -- Ulsan Namgu Management Corporation announced on Wednesday that number of visitors to Jangsaengpo Whale Culture Zone has surpassed 1.2 million last year.
According to the corporation, anuall visitors exceeding 1.2 million is the highest record in 14 years since Jangsaengpo was designated as the whale culture zone in 2008.
The corporation evaluated that the demand for domestic tourism increased with the ease of social distancing last year, and the number of visitors from other cities increased with the influence of hit drama about whales before summer peak season.
