SEOUL, Sept. 3 (Yonhap) -- A concert featuring Asian artists, including Indonesian star Afgan, will take place in Seoul's Yeouido Han River Park next month.

The Korea Foundation for International Cultural Exchange (KOFICE) announced on the 3rd that the "2024 Asia Song Festival" will be held from the 26th to the 27th of October at the Mulbit Stage area in Yeouido.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the "Asia Song Festival" aims to promote cultural exchange and strengthen friendly ties between Asian countries. This year's festival will feature artists from six Asian countries—Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand, and the Philippines—along with a special guest from Jamaica, representing seven countries and ten teams in total.

Among the performers, Indonesian singer Afgan, who has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, is included in the lineup. Thai band HYBS member Khan, who is also popular in Korea, will perform as well. Other participants include up-and-coming Filipino artist Tim Dionela and Vietnamese singer-songwriter My Anh, showcasing the latest trends in Asian music.

Jamaican reggae musician Jah Lil, often referred to as the "successor of Bob Marley," will make his first appearance for Korean fans. Four Korean acts—girl group fromis_9, four-member girl band QWER, boy group 8TURN, and alternative K-pop group Balming Tiger—will also take the stage.

Coinciding with the festival, "Culture It Gio," an event promoting "multisensory cultural experiences," will introduce the cultures of the Philippines and Jamaica. Jah Lil will also perform a joint show with the Korean reggae duo Skull & Haha.

Tickets for the event can be reserved for free starting on the 13th through Naver's reservation service. The concert will be broadcast to 142 countries via the KBS World channel. For more details are available at the official website: https://asiasongfestival.kr.
