SEOUL, Feb. 24 (Yonhap) – S. Korean actors Jin Seon-kyu and Jeon Jong-seo will star in the Tving’s new original series "The Ransom."

Tving said on Feb. 24, “’The Ransom’ has confirmed the cast of Jin Seon-kyu and Jeon Jong-seo and will begin filming.”

“The Ransom,” based on the short film of the same title, is a disaster thriller drama that depicts the story of earthquake hitting the building where the crime group of organ trafficking was bargaining over ransom.

The original work was directed by Lee Chung-hyeon, who directed "Call," and it has won awards at multiple film festivals, including the 15th Mise en scène Short Film Festival.

Jin plays Noh Hyung-soo, who is caught up in an unexpected crisis while bargaining over the ransom, while Jeon plays Park Ju-young, a bargaining expert who wants to turn the crisis of a big earthquake into an opportunity.

The series will be released later this year.
