'Gyeongju Expo Park' witness 39 percent increase in profit in 2022

SEOUL January 4 (Yonhap) -- Visitors of the “Gyeongju Expo Park” located in North Gyeongsang province has dramatically increased compare to those accumulated in 2021.

According to the data provided by the “Gyeongju Expo Park” on Wednesday visitors of “Gyeongju Expo Park” in 2022 was accumulated at 490 thousand people whereas those who visited the park in 2021 was topped at 383 thousand people.

Due to the sudden increase in visitors, “Gyeongju Expo Park” witnessed over 39 percent increase in profit, from 2.3 billion won to 3.2 billion won.

By collaborating with private companies “Gyeongju Expo Park” focused on coming up with unique programs targeted for each seasons, so that visitors can enjoy the park every season.

Seasonal contents such as “Spring-fairytale,” “Summer-Lumina Horror Night,” “Fall- Lumina Happy Halloween,” and “Winter-Winter Kingdom,” successfully attracted visitors.

“Infinity Flying” which is a show provided by “Gyeongju Expo Park” that is known to attract numerous people to the park for the past 12 years and Gyeongju Solgeo Art Museum is also attracting a lot of visitor due to painter Park Dae-sung.

“Gyeongju Expo Park” which signed a contract with content creating company “Dexter Studios” on April of 2022 and created Studio Gyerim.

Through such expansion of business “Gyeongju Expo Park” plans to provide visitors with new type of experience and to further their unique identity as a expo park.
