SEOUL, Dec. 13 (Yonhap) -- Writer Lee Jung-myung's full-length novel "Broken Summer" made the list of New York Times (NYT)'s The Best Thrillers of 2022, announced ehbook publisher on Tuesday.

Six novels including "THE APPEAL" and "THE OTHER SIDE OF NIGHT" made the list.

Released last year from ehbook, "Broken Summer" features physiological description and careful narration, and intense story-line.

The novel depicts how lies and misunderstandings intervene in human life and break down family and how they can take away their lives through the twisted fate of the three men and women.

Published in Amazon Crossing this September, the book was introduced in a new book recommendation list by the NYT's Book Review Editor and was recommended by literature medias and bloggers such as Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Review, and Book list. More than 2,000 readers' reviews are written on Amazon's book introduction site.

NYT commented, "This book is more about self-deception, narcissism, and unspeakable truths that can sustain and destroy marriage rather than traditional murder mysteries."

Writer Lee Jung-myung has published novels such as "Deep Rooted Tree" which was also made into drama and "Painter of the Wind," and "Investigation," which was translated and published in more than 10 countries abroad.
