SEOUL, Oct. 31 (Yonhap) -- Korean-american stylist was one of 50 talents to be selected as "New Wave: Creatives 2022" by British Fashion Council.
According to the list on BFC website and fashionawards.com, one of the talents was Choi Hyerin who works in New York. "New Wave: Creatives 2022" means talents in the fashion and design industry who will create new wave.
Choi graduated from UC Berkeley and built her styling career at NY Net-a-Porter in New York. After becoming a free lancer, she worked with Tom Browne, Nike, Apple, and Mac cosmetic.
Her works were introduced in not only fashion magazines like Vogue, Vogue Korea, Teen Vogue, and Allure, but also in various independent mass media.
Choi, on her instagram, talked about her styling, "I try to focus on people and their stories since clothes are just a medium to deliver stories and show beauty of individuals."
She also said, "I make an effort to get inspirations from Korean food and proberb, old saying, history, and my family. It is fun thing to change Korean culture to beautiful image."
The artist is a second daughter of Choi Hwa-seob, chief director Openbank, Korean bank in America.
