SEOUL, Nov. 7 (Yonhap) -- K-pop indie band Standing Egg will unveil their new EP album, "Harmless," on Thursday, featuring five tracks, according to their agency, Bon Entertainment.
To be released online at 6 p.m., this album arrives just two months after their previous release, "Forest."
Standing Egg shared their inspiration behind Harmless, saying, “I just wanted to create songs that are gentle, positive, and harmless, songs that can make anyone feel good.”
Reflecting on the creative process, Standing Egg expressed concerns about how an acoustic album, which takes a simpler approach, might resonate in what they described as “the age of dopamine.” Nonetheless, they reaffirmed their dedication to their music, explaining, “We still genuinely love the songs we create, which keeps us grounded and motivated.”
The band added, “Every morning, we continue to feel the same inspiration we did when we first started making music. When we come together to work, we find ourselves saying, ‘This feels so good,’ and ‘These songs bring happiness.’ In those moments, we believe that there will be someone out there who will listen to our songs and feel the same happiness.”
Standing Egg said, “We hope this album brings a small smile to your face. That’s the reason we created it.”
