SEOUL, July 28 (Yonhap) -- The Korean Culture and Information Service, along with the Korean Cultural Center Sydney announced on July 28 that it will be holding the "13th Korean Film Festival in Australia (KOFFIA)" starting in Sydney on August 18-23, Melbourne on September 1-5, Canberra on September 1-3, and Brisbane on September 8-11.
The crime action movie, "Special Delivery" (Director Park Dae-min) was chosen as the opening film of the festival. It is about Eun-ha (Park So-dam), a delivery driver who becomes involved in an irreversible incident, and becomes the target of the police and the National Intelligence Service.
13 films including "Decision to Leave," "Broker," "In Front of Your Face," "Escape from Mogadishu," "Hommage," "In Our Prime," "Toxic," "The Policeman's Lineage," "The Roundup," "Spiritwalker" and "Perhaps Love" will be screened.
One will be able to check the information on films screened in each city, its schedules, viewing methods and tickets at the film festival website (www.koffia.com.au) .
"I hope that many people will find the theater and enjoy Australia's biggest Korean film festival," said Kim Ji-hee, director of the Korean Cultural Center in Sydney. "It would be great if this festival would allow another discovery of the wide range of spectrum for Korean movies and the Korean culture."
