SEOUL, Aug. 23 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl band QWER will make a comeback with a new single next month, marking their return after five months.

On the 23rd, their agency, Tamago Production, announced, "QWER is preparing for a September comeback. We are working on high-quality music and performances to repay the tremendous support from fans towards the four members."

QWER received a great response for their first mini album, MANITO, released in April. The title track, "Gomin Jungdok" (Addicted to Worry), achieved a peak position of 3rd on Melon's 'Top 100' chart.

Last month, they released the single "Animal Special Forces" in collaboration with the popular online game League of Legends.

The band also received acclaim for their performances at various festivals, including the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival and university festivals, both domestically and internationally.
