SEOUL March 2 (Yonhap) -- "2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo" is undergoing the finalization process of the construction as the expo is planed to kick off within 30 days.

According to the committee for the upcoming expo, based on the progress report on Thursday, about 90 percent of the production is completed.

Majority of the construction of the exhibition halls have been completed and some of the flower decorations and programs for the opening ceremony is currently undergoing the production.

The main stage of the Suncheonman International Garden Expo “Green Island,” and “Ocheon Green Square,” are currently fishing up the construction process and will be undergoing trial operation shortly.

Alongside 2.5 km of the waterway, the expo will offer visitors with an opportunity to ride the Garden Experience Boat. The attraction is currently undergoing the process of safety check.

Moreover, the expo will provide some of the visitors with a special One Night “Garden Stay” experience where one can stay overnight at the garden, currently the overnight stay attraction is ready for usage, therefore the reservation of the facility will open on March 10.

Leading figure of the Suncheonman International Garden Expo committee, Baek Yoon-seok, addressed “Majority of the construction process are at its finalization process,” adding “Until the kick off of the expo we will make sure to improve our events so that over 8 million people can fully enjoy the expo.”

Suncheonman International Garden Expo will kick off on April 1 and continue until October 31 for 7 months at the Suncheonman wetland, National Garden, and downtown of Suncheon.
