SEOUL, Nov. 7 (Yonhap) -- 31-year-old ballad singer Jang Hye-jin has transformed into a painter and will open her first solo exhibition.

Gallery Chiro announced on Monday that Jang's first solo exhibition "Soyoinsang-FLOW" (translated) will be held from Wednesday to Dec.4

Around 20 works in which Jang drew her experience in nature onto canvas will be displayed. They all have been under work for years.

The artist said, "The animals in the pictures are my own appearance," adding,"daily life of enjoying the sunset led to the beginning of 'Soyoinsang' narrative."

Art critic Ahn Hyeon-jeong said, "The heart of Jang's aesthetics lies in immersion," adding, "Once we see Jang's nature, we can easily understand that her voice is melted onto her painting."

Jang debuted as a ballad singer in 1991 with "Now" (translated) and sang "Diaglog of dream," "One late night in 1994" etc.
