SEOUL, April 1 (Yonhap) -- Korean pianist Cho Seong-jin and Compagnie Wang Ramirez are invited to the Edinburgh International Festival held this August in Edinburgh, the largest festival city in the United Kingdom.
The Edinburgh International Festival, held from August 5th to the 28th will hold more than 2,300 artists performing 160 performances including classical music, opera, popular music, theater and dance.

Cho Seong-jin will play Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.5 with Philharmornia Orchestra (conductor Santtu-Marias Rouvali).
Choreographer Wang Honji will present "We are Monchichi", a dance about cultural stereotypes and identity.
The Korean Cultural Centre UK announced on the 31st that it had signed an agreement with the Edinburgh International Festival Organizing Committee to support Korean artists to have a chance on the stage.
The Culture Centre plans to invite 10 troupes from various fields including music, dance, theater, musical and many more.
Additionally, the cultural centre announced that it will hold events to promote the Korean culture, such as giving a chance for people to experience the Korean culture, a workshop for producers and artists, and many more.
