SEOUL, Mar. 11 (Yonhap) -- The action film "The Child Who Deserves To Die” starring Jang Hyuk has been pre-sold in 23 overseas countries.

According to a production company ASCENDIO on Mar. 11, the film was sold in 8 European countries, including Germany, Austria, and the Netherlands, and 15 Asian countries, including Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore.

The release date is scheduled for June, which is the same in Korea.

"The Child Who Deserves To Die” is a film directed by Choi Jae-hoon, who worked with Jang Hyuk in the movie “The Swordsman," and is based on the novel of the same title written by Bang Jin-ho. It depicts the story of a retired killer being caught up in a series of incidents for a high school girl whom he suddenly took care of.

Jang plays a killer Eui Kang, who seems cold on the outside but is warm-hearted.
