SEOUL, Dec.13(Yonhap) –- Fashion brands appear to be sold most in TV home shopping this year.

Especially with the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) becoming a part of our lives, it was confirmed that consumers who looked for stay-at-home products last year turned to streetwear and outdoor-related products this year.

On the 13th, each home shopping company analyzed the popular products based on this year’s order quantity and found a large number of fashion brands listed in the top 10.

9 out of the top ten CJ ONSTYLE brands and LOTTE Homeshopping, 8 in GS SHOP, and 6 in Hyundai Home shopping were fashion brands.

In CJ ONSTYLE, the private label fashion brands ranked first to ninth. The total amount of orders was 8 million, which increased 11% compared to last year.

Due to the golf craze, the golf clothing brand ‘JEAN MICHEL BASQUIAT’ ranked seven in the top ten for two consecutive years.

In LOTTE Homeshopping, Jeep (6th) Calvin Klein Performance (7th), Montbell (10th) and other leisure sports brands entered the top ten for the first time due to the increased outdoor activities such as golf, camping, and hiking.

Laurèl, which ranked first for the third consecutive year, also had a high proportion of innerwear sales last year, but in this year orders for outwear such as coats and puffer jackets, it accounted for about half.

Demand for premium products using high-quality material was also higher than budget-friendly products.

In Hyundai Home shopping, the private brand Laciento, which puts ahead a luxury strategy ranked second and the premium cashmere brand GOBI came in ninth.

Also in GS SHOP, SJ WANI, which featured the European Copenhagen mink coats, came in fourth.

In addition, a cosmetic brand that went viral on SNS ranked third in GS SHOP and tenth in Hyundai Home Shopping respectively.

LOTTE Homeshopping explained, “With the prolonged COVID-19, the consumption of stay-at-home products, which are faithful to the basics such as innerwear and home meal replacement, was concentrated last year, while demand for outdoor products such as outwear and leisure sportswear increased this year.”
