SEOUL, July 19 (Yonhap) --A video showing the night view of Cheong Wa Dae has been released online.
The Blue House Public Relations Promotion Team and the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation of the Cultural Heritage Administration announced that they released a video containing the main contents of "Cheong Wa Dae, Midsummer Night's Walk" event, which will be held from July 20 till July August, online on July 18.
The night viewing of Cheong Wa Dae will be held for the first time since it opened in May. It is currently open from 9 a.m. till 6 p.m.
A total of 55,132 people participated in the ticket application event that took place until July 11, recording a competition ratio of about 92:1.
The promotion team decided to release a video containing the main routes and programs on the Cheong Wa Dae opening website (https://www.opencheongwadae.kr/) for those who have difficulties visiting during the night viewing period or those who were not able to make it through the competition.
The 1:50 second video released on the same day showed the night view of Cheong Wa Dae seen from the sky, a small concert held in the palace garden, and the lights of Sangchunjae (the only traditional-type building in Cheongwadae) and Nokjiwon Bansong (most impressive and beautiful tree located in the middle of Nokjiwon).
After entering through the main gate, one can feel as if one is on a "LAN trip" by moving the tour route that leads to Daejeongwon, the main building, the front of the official residence, Sangchunjae, and Nokjiwon.
"We hope that more people will be able to enjoy the summer night atmosphere of Cheong Wa Dae together," an official from the promotion team said. "We will operate various programs for Cheong Wa Dae to become a historical and cultural space that lives and breathes together along with the people."
