SEOUL, Jan. 18 (Yonhap) – The webtoon and web novel based on K-pop superband BTS have surpassed 15,000,000 views after two days of the release.

The webtoon and web novel of “7FATES: CHAKHO,” released through Naver webtoon, have exceeded 15,000,000 views on Monday, according to their agency HYBE on Jan. 18.

It is in two days since the release of the work on Jan. 15.

The staff from HYBE explained, “The performance indicators in the beginning shows the best record among the works launched so far, according to the Naver webtoon data,” adding, “It is also the first time that the industry launched the work in 10 languages at the same time.”

“7FATES: CHAKHO” is a work reinterpreted into the webtoon and web novel from the idea of “Chakhogapsa(捉虎甲士),” which is known as an army that hunts tigers, and the BTS members transform into the tiger hunters.

It has been gaining popularity from all around the world as it is found to be a collaborated work with BTS.

After “7FATES: CHAKHO” was released, Naver webtoon accomplished the highest record on Daily Active Users(DAU) of Naver webtoon’s language service with 6 languages, such as English·Japanese·Spanish·French·German·Thai, according to HYBE.

In “WEBTOON,” the English service platform of Naver webtoon, “7FATES: CHAKHO” topped the charts of “New&Trending” and “ORIGINALS by Genre” and gained 740,000 subscribers.

The rating is relatively high by recording 9.9 out of 10. It was 9.96 in Spanish service and 9.81 and 9.94 for each French and Thai.

However, the rating of “7FATES: CHAKHO” on the domestic service was only at 7.

The webtoons “DARK MOON: THE BLOOD ALTAR” and “THE STAR SEEKERS,” which each collaborated with K-pop boy groups ENHYPEN AND TOMORROW X TOGETHER, also ranked No.1 to No.3 with “7FATES: CHAKHO” on “New&Trending” of the English·Spanish·German service by drawing attention of the foreign fans.

HYBE mentioned, “With a new trial of “artist collaboration” in webtoon and web novel contents, we made sure that the original quality itself would not be affected, adding, “We will expand the experience of contents without boundaries.”
