SEOUL, July 21 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group ATEEZ has launched legal action against malicious online posts targeting its members, its agency said on Tuesday.

KQ Entertainment said it has been monitoring the spread of false information, defamation, insults, sexual harassment, privacy violations and other acts infringing on the rights of its artists.

"Based on the evidence we have collected, we are proceeding with the relevant legal procedures," the agency said.

KQ added that it has continued to identify excessive malicious posts, personal attacks and the indiscriminate spread of false claims.

"We will pursue legal action against all illegal acts without any leniency," it said.

ATEEZ released its 14th EP, "Golden Hour: Part 5," on June 26.
