TV series 'Missing' returns with season 2

SEOUL, Dec. 15 (Yonhap) -- TV series "Missing: The Other Side," in which spooky story of finding missing dead bodies is filled with deep emotions, is returning with season 2.

At an online press conference of tvN Mon-Tuesday drama "Missing 2" on Thursday, actors Go Soo, Huh Joon-ho, Ahn Sohee, and Ha Jun who took the leading roles in the first season and newly added casts Lee Jung-eun and Kim Dong-hwi participated.

'Missing," set in a village of spirits full of missing dead, is a mystery fantasy drama of finding missing bodies and investigating the truth behind the cases. Premiered on channel OCN, the prequel was praised for the excellent harmonization of humanism, fantasy, and mystery.

Producer Min Yeong-hong, who is directing the sequel as well, introduced the drama, "It's a story of living people and spirits with stories meeting and solving each other's eagerness."

He continued, "If Season 1 dealt with the eagerness of living men, season 2 revolves around events that happen due to eagerness of the deads," adding, "By capturing the scenes of spirits greeting and leaving the village of spirits, I think audiences will be able to feel these emotions as well."

Go Soo, swindler Kim Wook, and Huh Joon-ho, Jang Pan-seok who looks for missing people longing for his daughter, will play in duo who investigates missing case like the season 1. Like the prequel, they can see spirits.

Go Soo said, "Kim Wook is someone who does quite a lot of righteous works," adding, "Finding dead bodies of people who died wrongly, he meets various people this going back and forth this life and afterlife.

When asked how it was like working with the same actors again through season 2, he said, "I think I know where they stand without looking, and where there heart is at because I became so accustomed," adding, "I felt like we are good fits."

Huh Joon-ho also revealed his affection, saying, "I grew so attached to the actors shooting season 1. We are enjoying working together again."

Lee Jeong-eun who newly joined for new season introduced her role as "Cute dead called as 'Homemade food captain Kang.'"

Kang Eun-sil, who Lee plays, was once a captain of a ship, but she is now a warm-hearted character who has been living in the village of spirits for 30 years and feeds neighbors with her cooking skills.

Lee said, "You will understand my role better if you look at the fact that there are many children and elders in the village," adding, "It's a heart-warming drama."

Ahn Sohee, who takes the role as Lee Jong-ah, the partner of swindler Kim Wook and supporter of Jang Pan Seok, Ha Joon as Shin Joon-ho who was once a successful elite detective, but now just a dumb-head detective, will appear in sequel following the prequel. New face Kim Dong-hee will be playing Oh Il-yong who is the is the resident of the village and is at the center of mystery.
