Baek Yun-shik to take legal action against 30 years younger ex-girlfriend

SEOUL, Feb. 23 (Yonhap) – S. Korean actor Baek Yun-shik announced on Feb. 23 that he would look into taking legal action against his ex-girlfriend Ms. K, who is about to publish an autobiographical essay.

Ms. K, known as a reporter of a broadcasting company, drew attention in 2013 as it was revealed that she was dating Baek, who is 30 years older. The essay that is scheduled to be published next month was found to contain personal history from dating Baek to the point of breaking up.

The agency Fantagio announced its official position, "We are confirming the publication of the book, and we will look into taking strong and severe legal measures (against Ms. K)."

Moreover, it stated regarding the incident where Baek filed a civil action worth of 200 million won against Ms. K and nullified it 9 years ago, saying, "Baek withdrew the civil suit 9 years ago ahead of the ongoing trial as he accepted Ms. K's apology. It worked out fine after their amicable settlement.”
