SEOUL, Aug. 6 (Yonhap) -- The popular dating reality show "I'm SOLO," which airs on SBS Plus and ENA, will be released in more than 190 countries through Netflix.

Netflix said Wednesday it will begin globally streaming "I'm SOLO" and its spinoff, "I'm SOLO, Love Continues," in the second half of this year.

The streaming platform has previously offered the shows only to subscribers in South Korea through its replay service, but will expand their availability worldwide later this year. To coincide with the global launch, Netflix will provide subtitles in English, Spanish and other languages, with additional language support to be added over time.

"I'm SOLO" is a dating reality program in which single men and women come together in search of love. Since its debut in 2021, it has gained widespread popularity among domestic viewers.

Ahead of its global rollout, Netflix began exclusively streaming the latest episode of "I'm SOLO" (Episode 265), which aired Tuesday, as an over-the-top (OTT) platform.

As a result, other OTT platforms that previously offered replay services for the program ended their service with Episode 264 of "I'm SOLO" and Episode 176 of "I'm SOLO, Love Continues." Television broadcasts and internet protocol television (IPTV) services, however, will continue as before.

The production team said it chose Netflix's exclusive distribution because it considered the platform "the most suitable gateway for introducing high-quality content to overseas markets."
