SEOUL, Aug. 18 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group WINNER, which recently celebrated its 7th debut anniversary, will renew its contract and continue its partnership with YG Entertainment.
All four members including Kang Seung-yoon, Lee Seung-hoon, Song Mino, and Kim Jin-woo have agreed to renew their five year contract with the agency, according to YG Entertainment on Wednesday.
The members, who agreed to renew their contracts the day before the group's 7th debut anniversary, said, "We really wanted to say that we respect Inner Circle (WINNER's fandom) who have always been on our side," adding, "We want to continue our endless music journey."
WINNER was formed through YG Entertainment's idol boy group survival program "WIN: Who Is Next" in 2013 and debuted with album "2014 S/S" the following year.
The four-piece-act released hit songs over the years such as "REALLY REALLY", "LOVE ME LOVE ME" and "MILLIONS".
As of right now, any team-related activities are on hold due to members Jinwoo and Seunghoon fulfilling their military service while Seungyoon and Mino are active in working on solo albums, acting and appearing on entertainment programs.
