SEOUL, Aug. 17 (Yonhap) -- The production team members of Mnet's music program "M Countdown" have been confirmed to be diagnosed with the novel coronavirus.

"Two members of the production crew for 'M Countdown' were tested positive for the coronavirus yesterday so the program will be replaced by showcasing this week's highlight performances," Mnet said on Tuesday.

"All the staff members have conducted a coronavirus test and the rest of the staff have confirmed to be negative or are waiting for the results. The artists, who have appeared on the show on Aug. 12, were preemptively informed and recommended to take a PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test."

Last week's show featured Golden Child, Kim Woo-jin, The Boyz, Dreamcatcher, Park Ji-hoon, BDC, Sunmi, Astro, ONF, Weeekly, Jeon So-mi, Ten, Ha Sung-woon, and Hyoyeon.
