SEOUL, June 18 (Yonhap) -- Trot emperor Na Hoon-a, who canceled all year-end performances last year due to the corona virus, will return to the stage by hosting "Again Tes Hyeong [Brother Socrates]" concerts in three cities including Daegu, Busan, and Seoul from July to August, announced the singer's agency YeAra·YeSori on Friday.

The Daegu concert will be held during July 16-18th at the eastern building of EXCO. Na's next performance in Busan at BEXCO will be held from July 23-25 while his Seoul concert will be conducted in the Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium between August 27-29.

The concert will be held once at 2 p.m. and another at 7:30 p.m., performing 18 times in total.

"I am able to hold concerts in such a difficult and frustrating time ," said Na Hoon-a. "I'm going to sing songs of hope to help people temporarily forget about this annoying situation that has locked everybody up from their ordinary daily lives."

Last year, during the Chuseok holidays, Na Hoon-a created a national syndrome through his online concert, which was aired on KBS 2TV.

He was scheduled to hold offline performances at the end of the year in Busan, Seoul and Daegu to meet his fans. At that time, there was a "reservation war" for tickets, which sold out in eight minutes for the Busan and Daegu concerts and nine minutes for Seoul.

However, as the social distancing rules upgraded to Level 2 due to the rapid spread of the virus, all performances had to be canceled.

Unlike classical and musical performances, popular music performances were classified as "gatherings and events" until recently, so more than 100 people could not gather during the Level 2 distancing, making it difficult to hold large-scale performances.

However, as the government recently eased the quarantine rules on concert halls, a total of 4,000 people are able to visit concerts from June 14. As a result, the sluggish pop music performance industry is expected to slowly revive.
