SEOUL, Aug. 20 (Yonhap) -- Singer-songwriter Ahn Chi-hwan will hold a solo concert on Sept. 18-19 at Yeonnam Space in Seoul's Mapo-gu, his agency A&L ENT said Thursday.

The concert will be held to celebrate the release of his 15th full-length album, "Seize the Day," scheduled for next month.

The album title, "Seize the Day," is an English translation of the Latin phrase "Carpe diem," meaning "make the most of the present."

"I've reached an age when I need to look back on the past, take care of myself in the present and prepare for the future that remains," Ahn said. "I want to live by walking slowly, looking far ahead and quietly singing."

"The 15th album is a tribute to people who quietly carry out the work entrusted to them," he said. "It also expresses gratitude for the everyday life in which I can now turn into songs and sing about things that I have only come to see and feel through the flow of life."

At the concert, Ahn will present a diverse setlist ranging from his signature songs "People Are More Beautiful Than Flowers" and "If I" to new songs.
