SEOUL December 6 (Yonhap) -- South Korean Violinist Inmo Yang who won the grand prize of Jean Sibelius Violin Competition and Long Thibaud Crespin Competition Lee Hyuk will be taking stage with pieces that they have performed during their final performance of the competition.
Violinist Inmo Yang and pianist Lee Hyuk will be collaborating with the Ditto Orchestra under the concert title of “The Winners” on December 28 at Lotte Concert Hall, addressed concert planning company Credia music on Tuesday.
Violinist Inmo Yang who made name for himself as a winner of the grand prize of The Paganini Competition in 2015 won the grand prize of Jean Sibelius Violin Competition in May of 2022 for the first time as a Korean musician showcasing his talent as a violinist.
Inmo Yang will be performing Sibelius’ Violin Concerto in D which he performed on the stage of his final at the Jean Sibelius Violin Competition.
Whereas South Korean pianist Lee Hyuk who won one of the most praised piano competition from France, Long Thibaud Crespin Competition will be performing the Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto 2 which was a piece he performed on his final stage.
Lee Hyuk was the second South Korean pianist to have won the competition after Lim Dong-hyuk in 21 years.
Pianist has taken third at the Hamamatsu International Piano Competition in 2018, and managed to be one of the final competitors of the International Fredrick Chopin Piano Competition held in 2021.
