SEOUL, Jan. 9 (Yonhap) -- K-pop band 2Z is making a comeback with a new album that showcases their unique musical style and atmosphere.
The band, with members Hojin, Newborn, Jeonghyeon, Junon, Beomjun, will release their eighth EP, Glorious Youth, on Thursday at 6 p.m. across various music platforms.
Glorious Youth marks the band's return after six months since their previous release, Playground, in July of last year. As the title suggests, the album represents shedding the weaknesses and painful memories of the past, and embodying the image of "glorious youth" through their music.
The title track, Kise (氣勢), is a rock number that clearly carries J-Rock influences. It creates a unique contrast with its lyrical melody set against an intense, dramatic sound. The track is further enhanced by a danceable groove, adding to its powerful vibe.
The double title track Something Special was produced by the team of Jeon Changyeop, a music director known for his work on popular drama OSTs, who joined with a new production lineup.
In addition to these tracks, the EP also includes Jangmotdeun Nege, and Summer or War, completing a total of four tracks on the album.
