SEOUL, April 19 (Yonhap) -- Actor Choi Tae-joon will be discharged from the military on May 18th, according to the actor's agency, Santa Claus Entertainment.
On August 1st 2019, Choi Tae-joon entered the Army Training Camp and received grade 4 on the medical exam and was assigned to reservist duty, meaning the actor would serve as a public service worker at public facilities.
South Korea requires all conscripts to take a mandatory health test to determine whether they will serve as a soldier, public service worker, or be exempted from service due to health issues.
While working at a welfare center, actor Choi Tae-joon carried out good deeds such as delivering household items to elderly people within the vulnerable social group.
Due to the corona virus pandemic, there aren't any scheduled public events celebrating the actor's discharge from the military.
Choi Tae-joon made his debut with the SBS TV drama, "Piano" in 2011 and gained popularity by appearing in various movies and dramas throughout the years. His latest work was the SBS TV drama, "The Undateables."
