SEOUL, Sept.21 (Yonhap) -- K-pop superstar BLACKPINK sent out a message warning about climate change through a video during United Nations' SDG Moment held in New York on Tuesday, its agency YG Entertainment announced on Wednesday.

Member Jennie emphasized that for UN Sustainable Development Goals, "global attention" is needed.

Rose warned that climate crisis is becoming worse. She said, "We have to start now to save our lives along with beautiful nature and energy. Our efforts for all global goals will either bear fruit or go up in smoke by the decisions we make today."

Jisoo said, "We should not underestimate effects individuals can create," adding, "little efforts will make big change."

Lisa also encouraged the people saying, "We have bigger influence than we think we have, and we all have the duty to protect the future," adding, "Let's make better tomorrow with more study and knowledge."

BLACKPINK has been actively working as the ambassador of UN Sustainable Development Goals since its appointment in last year.
